Here are links to media coverage of Wagner College from Feb. 24 through March 30, 2010:

    • Jan. 27, Chronicle of Higher Education, Campus Architecture Database: Foundation Hall
    • Feb. 25, Staten Island Advance, “Girl Power” — Note: This review of the Main Stage production of “Little Women” was based on a faulty assumption: that Wagner had produced the Broadway version of the Louisa May Alcott classic. In fact, the Wagner Theater had used the touring company script, which had fixed several big problems that had made themselves evident in the Broadway production. We spoke with the editors, who assured us that kind of mistake won’t happen again.
    • Feb. 28, Men’s News Daily (MND.com), “Male Studies and Men’s Studies” — Prof. Miles Groth explains the need for “men’s studies” and an upcoming teleconference hosted by Wagner College.
    • March 1, BroadwayWorld.com, “Wagner College Theatre names Richard Martin Hirsch winner of '10 Stanley Drama Award”
    • March 3, BroadwayWorld.com, “Wagner College Theater to hold Summer Music Theater Institute”
    • March 10, (N.Y.) Daily News, “Elect Lieutenant Governor Directly” — Joshua Spivak, a fellow at Wagner College’s Hugh L. Carey Institute for Government Reform, writes an op-ed essay recommending that New Yorkers change the state constitution to allow the direct election of their lieutenant governor.
    • March 16, Staten Island Advance, “Lecture at Wagner College Tonight Covers Sociology of Disease”
    • March 16, New York 1, “Wagner College to Open New Residence Hall” — NY1’s preview of the March 19 official opening of Foundation Hall is posted on our YouTube channel, WagnerCollegeNYC.
    • March 20, Staten Island Advance, “A ‘Foundation’ for Success” — The Advance ran a photo story on the official opening of Foundation Hall. (They had already run a front-page story on the new res when students moved in to the building in January. SEE THE STORY)
    • March 24, Staten Island Advance, “Hum-Dinger! Wagner Hits $50M Goal: President Rings Closing Bell on Wall Street to Mark Fundraising Success” — The opening illustration on the Web page where we have posted this story is also a link to the video of President Guarasci ringing the closing bell on the New York Stock Exchange, courtesy NYSE, which is posted on our YouTube channel
    • March 25, Staten Island Advance (North Shore section), “Spring Can Boost Spirits”
    • March 25, Roll Call, “The Long Debate Over a Senatorial Recall” — A New Jersey court decision allowing a recall action to move forward against U.S. Senator Robert Menendez prompted this historical op-ed essay by Carey Institute scholar Joshua Spivak.
    • March 26, Washington Post (College Inc. blog), “Why No Male Studies?” — When Washington Post higher education reporter Daniel De Vise stumbled upon an announcement about next month’s conference at Wagner College on the discipline of Men’s Studies, he blasted off an impromptu response in his blog that drew many, many, many comments.
    • March 26, Huffington Post, “Why would anyone protest against the Women's Studies program at Columbia?” — A Wagner College seminar on Men's Studies, scheduled for next month, is cited in an essay about a protest against the Women's Studies at Columbia.
