Wagner College continues to excel in national rankings, as the 2025 US News & World Report attests.
Wagner rose to number 60 in the Regional Universities North category, up nine spots from the 2024 rankings released last fall. Wagner was ranked a top-50 Best Value School, and climbed 13 points in the category Top Performers on Social Mobility, to number 127 nationally.
US Newsâ annual rankings follow closely the release of the 2025 Washington Monthly ratings, which put Wagner at number 161 out of 589 national universities that graduate a significant number of masterâs students. Washington Monthly focuses on schools that create upward mobility for students, conduct research and promote public service.
âWagner does not pursue rankings â we offer solid academic preparation and excellent student services, and the world takes notice,â said President Jeffrey A. Doggett, Ed.D. âWeâre happy that our work is acknowledged and appreciated.â
And Money Magazineâs fall rankings of 745 schools awarded Wagner four out of five stars, naming it one of Americaâs Best Colleges. The Money rankings incorporated measures such as graduation rates, cost of attendance, financial aid and average alumni salaries.
Earlier this fall, the Princeton Review Best Colleges edition listed Wagner among its unranked â390 Best Collegesâ in the United States. It also cited Wagner among the âColleges that Create Futuresâ for students and put the college on the âBest in Northeastâ list.
Rosa Santana, Wagnerâs director of career planning and development, said the collegeâs recognition for building mobility and graduating successful alumni stems from âour commitment to career-readiness programming, training and resources.
âThat commitment empowers students to navigate their unique paths, while ensuring robust development and placement opportunities through our networks and partnerships,â she said. âTogether, we cultivate the leaders of tomorrow, equipped for success in a dynamic world.â
Based on student surveys, Princeton also rated Wagner in second place nationally on its Best College Theater list.
âOur rise to the number 2 spot is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff and students, as well as the enduring quality of our program,â said Michelle Siemens, general manager of Wagner College Theatre.
