Kate Thomas ’24 is originally from Fresno, California, but says she found her community at Wagner College.
The business administration major is heavily involved on campus. She joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority during her freshman year and has held the positions of vice president of membership experience and recruitment analyst. Thomas is also a student worker for the Institutional Advancement office, assisting with major events like Wagner Weekend, and she participated in the inaugural session of the Career Activator program.
Thomas has a concentration in marketing and was president of Agency on The Hill, Wagner’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation. She has also volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Staten Island Zoo and more.

What do you have planned after graduation?
I plan to move down to Florida where I will start working in the professional world in the marketing industry.
What has been your most memorable Wagner moment?
My most memorable Wagner moment was joining a sorority because I connected with so many inspiring women who have helped me become the person I am today.
What was your favorite class at Wagner?
My favorite class was Consumer Behavior taught by Paul Barretta. It was a small class but solidified my choice to become a marketing major by showing me how fun yet complex the subject truly is.
What's your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is Reynolds House where I’ve spent most of my time working with administrators who have become my second family.
What’s a fun fact about yourself?
I love to travel — I’ve been to 14 countries.
What is a piece of advice you have for incoming freshmen?
Don’t be shy. Wagner is one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been and your major or background doesn’t matter when finding your people.
