Staten Island educators honored

Three Staten Island educators were honored by Wagner College on Wednesday night, June 5, at the annual New Educators at Wagner Outstanding Educators and School Leaders Awards dinner. This year's honorees were: Cori Curylo, a teacher at P.S. 55 who earned her bachelor's degree at Wagner College in 2007 and her master of science in education degree in 2008; Deanna Marco, principal of the new P.S. 295, and Linda Manfredi, principal of P.S. 29 and winner of the Hank Murphy Award. Participants in the award program included NEW Director Carin Guarasci, Wagner College education professor David Gordon, Lavelle Preparatory School Principal Evelyn Finn, Wagner President Richard Guarasci, NYS Board of Regents member Christine Cea, and two NEW Advisory Board members: former P.S. 11 principal Hank Murphy and Wagner College trustee Aletta Diamond.
