Wagner College’s STEAM Society—where STEM meets art—is hosting a charity bake sale on April 14 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in Union to raise donations for the Dental Lifeline Network (DLN). DLN provides free dental care to some of America’s most vulnerable adults, including those with disabilities and low socioeconomic status.
“We want to serve the community in any way possible, including the neglected groups of individuals that are often overlooked,” said Beanna Dzhaniashvili, a STEAM Society member. “Access to healthcare, including dental care, should be a basic human right, and we hope this event helps raise awareness and support for those in need.”
The STEAM Society blends science, technology, engineering, art, and math to create a well-rounded approach to learning and service. “Our goal is to enrich individuals in these fields in accordance with the Wagner College mission,” Dzhaniashvili added.
