
Wagner College announces Michael Tadross ‘72 — who has played a pivotal role as a leading figure in the film industry for over 35 years — will serve as its 2024 commencement speaker.
The College’s undergraduate commencement will take place at 9:30 a.m. on May 17. It will honor those who have earned graduate degrees at 4:30 p.m. on May 16. During the undergraduate ceremony, Tadross will be presented with an honorary doctorate degree for his connection and commitment to the institution.
Tadross, a proud Wagner College graduate, is president of productions at Stampede Ventures, having produced more than 55 movies in his career.
He previously produced a number of critically acclaimed films for Warner Bros., including “Oceans 8” and “Sherlock Holmes.” Before Warner Bros., Tadross served as executive vice president of feature production at Paramount Pictures, overseeing blockbusters including “Forrest Gump.” His production credits also include “Hitch” for Columbia Pictures and “Die Hard With A Vengeance” for 20th Century Fox.
Tadross is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
In 2006, he was nominated for the NAACP Image Award and received The Movieguide Award for best family-oriented film for “Hitch.”
Tadross received the Wagner College Distinguished Graduate Award. He previously served on the College’s Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Honor Legion of the New York City Police Department and serves on the board of Victory Memorial Hospital.
The College will also present honorary doctorates to President Angelo Araimo, who will speak at the graduate commencement ceremony, and Kimberly Spiro, who will speak at the pinning ceremony for nursing graduates.
