Wagner College Theatre invites audiences into a charged and intimate reunion with Heroes of the Fourth Turning, a critically acclaimed play by Will Arbery. On a chilly night in rural Wyoming, four friends gather to celebrate a mentor’s promotion—but what begins as a toast soon spirals into a volatile exchange of ideas and personal convictions. As the night goes on, unspoken beliefs and unresolved truths test long-standing friendships.

Presented in the close quarters of Stage One, this production offers a compelling glimpse into a generation grappling with inherited values and a fast-shifting cultural landscape. Directed by Joey Donnelly, the play showcases a strong ensemble cast and a design team committed to creating an experience that is both urgent and honest. Following last season’s Plano, this new production continues Wagner Theatre’s dedication to bold and thought-provoking contemporary storytelling.

Content Advisory: Heroes of the Fourth Turning includes intense themes and may be distressing to some viewers. The play contains language and dialogue that references racism, transphobia, homophobia, abortion, the Holocaust, sexual assault, and self-harm. Gunshots are heard during the performance, and herbal cigarettes are used onstage.

Performances run May 1, 2, and 3 at 7:30 PM, with matinees on May 3 and 4 at 2:00 PM. All shows take place in Stage One at Wagner College. Tickets are $10 plus a $2 service fee. For more information and reservations, contact the Box Office at 718-390-3259, email boxoffice@wagner.edu, or visit wagner.edu/performing-arts.
