Lilly McNally (’26), a Wagner College sociology major with minors in civic engagement and art, has been selected as a 2025–2026 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact.
“I am excited to join the Newman Civic Fellowship so that I can take what I learn from my peers and mentors and use it to increase civic engagement on my campus,” McNally said.
Bernadette Ludwig, associate professor of sociology and director of civic engagement, noted that McNally was selected through a committee review process based solely on the strength of her submission essay. “We circulated a call for (self) nominations earlier in the spring semester, and the committee reviewed entries anonymously,” Ludwig said.
Throughout the fellowship year, McNally will participate in virtual and in-person learning opportunities, connect with a national network of student leaders, and engage in leadership development with a local mentor.
