Wagner College Theatre presents “A Doll’s House, Part 2,” by Lucas Hnath.
Four performances of the play will be presented on the outdoor stage adjacent to Main Hall from Thursday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Nov. 8.
The shows are being performed live for a socially distant and masked campus audience each evening at 7:30. Note that only current students, faculty and staff will be permitted to attend.
The show will be live streamed on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. from the outdoor stage for the broader community to enjoy. Use this link to register for the webcast; the system will accept registrations starting Thursday afternoon.
Hnath’s “A Doll’s House, Part 2” picks up where Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” left off: with a knock on the door. The 2017 Broadway production received eight Tony nominations, with Laurie Metcalf winning for Best Featured Actress.
WCT’s “A Doll’s House, Part 2” is directed by Brian Sgambati (WCT’s “Or,” and an actor with numerous Broadway and off-Broadway credits including Lucas Hnath’s “The Death of Walt Disney”).
The show features students Gracie Klebine (Nora Helmer), Aaron Frongillo (Torvald Helmer), Cat Sapovitz (Anne Marie) and Emily Gulden (Emmy Helmer).
The creative team includes Phill Hickox (production manager), Teagan Hamel (costume & hair/makeup designer), Cameron Russell (video supervisor), Conchetta Aronawitz ’20 (sound supervisor), Addi Oakley-Neel (sound designer), Aaron Frongillo (props master), Chanler Sharpe (assistant stage manager), Alyssa Bowne (production stage manager), Braith Dicker (scenic designer) and Devyn Storholm (lighting designer).
This is the fourth show of WCT’s innovative outdoor fall season. The next and last show closing out the Fall 2020 season is “The Queen’s Men: Selections from Shakespeare’s Plague Plays,” scheduled for Nov. 13-15.
