This year, 572 new undergraduates are in our entering class, one of the largest classes in the college's history. They include 425 first-year students and 147 transfers who come from 31 states and 10 countries. The average SAT of 1151 for incoming freshmen is the highest in our history.
Our new freshmen join the Grymes Hill community exactly 100 years since our Staten Island campus first opened, following the college's move from Rochester, New York.
For a look at what the campus was like when we first acquired it in 1917, visit the Wagner Magazine website for the "Wagner College History Tour."
You can also visit an exhibition in the Horrmann Library's Spotlight Gallery, "100 Years Upon the Hill: The Staten Island Campus, Rephotographed," showing archival images of our campus next to the same locations "rephotographed" today. The "Rephotography" exhibition will be on display through the end of September.
