Wagner College welcomes three new members to its 2019-20 faculty: Paul Barretta, John Epstein and Doris Ann Korona.

Paul Barretta, Ph.D.

Paul Barretta grew up on Staten Island and spent nearly 20 years in corporate America, working in Manhattan, before earning his Ph.D. in business from the University of Texas-Pan American, majoring in marketing. He comes to Wagner from St. Bonaventure University, where he was awarded tenure as an associate professor of marketing and served as department chair. Barretta’s teaching and research are supported by a foundation of industry experience that includes banking, entertainment and media. His combination of practical industry experience, and theoretical knowledge from his Ph.D. program, has enabled him to work closely with both graduate and undergraduate students.

John Epstein, Ed.D.

John Epstein earned his Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Southern California. Prior to, during, and since completing his doctorate, he collaborated with Carol Riley, teaching on-campus, hybrid and online graduate-level courses for the University of Phoenix. In addition to working with University of Phoenix students, he also worked with several USC doctoral students as a volunteer mentor providing academic support and dissertation guidance. Prior to joining the Wagner College faculty, Epstein was working as an assistant principal at Milford High School in Milford, Delaware.

Doris Ann Korona, DNP

Doris Ann Korona earned her bachelor’s, master’s and DNP degrees from Wagner College. She has over 30 years of experience in emergency medicine. Her most recent experience was in primary care while earning her family nurse practitioner certificate from Columbia University, where she also taught as an adjunct professor and piloted a trauma nurse practitioner program. Korona has developed emergency medicine courses for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in a clinical academic setting while at NYU/Bellevue Hospital.
