Moving Through Life: Dance Project 2021
Wagner College Theatre is continuing the effort to bring live theatre back to New York City while keeping our community safe. “The Dance Project: Moving Through Life” explores identity, individuality, reaching for success, and celebrating achieved goals. We move through life with different ideas of success, setting goals along the way. They can be big or small, take a while to achieve or develop into something new. The beauty in all of this is that every journey is as unique as the person on it. In the end it is that journey that moves us through life, shaping who we are and what we have achieved. Those achievements big or small deserve recognition and celebrating.
“The Dance Project: Moving Through Life” is directed and partially choreographed by Carissa Bellando (WCT’s The Dance Project 2019 and A Little Night Music). Two student choreographers, Kayla Morgan and Rachel Makstein, also choreographed for the show.
Five performances will be presented on the steps of Wagner College’s Main Hall. The show is being performed live for a campus audience May 7th at 6 pm, May 8th at 2 pm and 6 pm, and May 9th at 2 pm and 6 pm. The show will be streamed through Zoom on May 8th and 9th at 8 pm via a link on the Wagner College Theatre Facebook page.
