THESE SHINING LIVES
THESE SHINING LIVES
Experience the moving and deeply human story of THESE SHINING LIVES by Melanie Marnich, a powerful play inspired by true events. Set in the 1920s, it follows Catherine Donohue, a spirited young woman who takes a job painting watch dials at a factory, doing work that promises independence and camaraderie, but comes at a devastating cost.
As Catherine and her fellow workers form friendships and find pride in their craft, they remain unaware of the danger they face from exposure to radium. When the truth begins to emerge, Catherine is forced to confront both the limits placed on her life and the strength within herself. These Shining Lives illuminates the enduring impact of ordinary women who chose to stand up and shine.
