DESCRIPTION:PICNIC by William Inge brings to life the heat and tension of a sweltering Labor Day morning in a small Kansas town\, where the women of a quiet neighborhood prepare for the annual picnic. Amidst the preparations\, watchful mother Flo Owens hopes her beautiful daughter\, Madge\, will receive a wedding proposal\, while younger sister Millie dreams of escaping their small-town life. Good-natured Mrs. Potts enjoys a rare break from caring for her elderly mother\, and spinster schoolteacher Rosemary keeps her boyfriend at arm’s length.
