“Wagner gave me the freedom to discover what kind of performer I wanted to be. When I entered the program, I had no formal acting training, a scrappy voice, and years of guitar playing under my belt. I didn’t know much about what life in the theatre would be like, and I left with the tools to navigate the ups and downs of the business, while remaining my truest self. Wagner never tried to change me into something that I wasn’t, but rather focused on helping me find what made me special. Now, I am hired for the skills that make me special and for being myself, and I am forever grateful to Wagner for that.” -Alex Boniello ’13
