Support Wagner College Theatre
Looking for more ways to support Wagner College Theatre?
You now have even more ways to direct your gift to Wagner College Theatre. You can choose between The Friends of the Theatre Fund, The Chris Catt Fund, and the Gary Sullivan Legacy Fund.
Please specify in the “Notes” box how you’d like us to direct your gift.
Friends of the Theatre
The mission of the Friends of the Theatre is to join together in love of the performing arts while recognizing the importance of sustaining and nurturing the theatre program at Wagner College. They seek to promote the program, in all its dimensions, for the betterment of the students, the College and the community at large.
Chris Catt Fund
After his unexpected passing in 2009, a memorial fund for Prof. Chris Catt was created. A California native with his master’s degree in directing from UCLA, Chris joined the performance faculty at Wagner College in 1995. As professor in the nationally lauded drama department, Catt taught movement, directing, film and prepared students for showcase performances. During his Wagner tenure, he served as department chair for six years and directed more than 20 Main Stage productions, including some of the program’s most acclaimed productions: Jekyll and Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sweeney Todd, and Tommy. Gifts made in the memory of Chris Catt will be directed to the advancement of Wagner College Theatre productions.
Gary Sullivan Legacy Fund
Gary arrived at Wagner College in 1975 as our first resident Scenic Designer and Technical Director. In 1987, he became the Department Chair, and under his leadership, Wagner College Theatre has emerged as one of the top theatre schools in the country, consistently ranked among the Princeton Review’s top 20 for over two decades. Throughout his 48 years at Wagner, Gary has worn many hats, holding titles such as Provost, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Division Head, and Department Chair. In 1989, Gary launched the WCT subscription packages, continually refining them as he discovered new and better ways to engage with our audience. In Gary’s own words, our subscribers are our partners. His passion for nurturing our relationship with our audience was a core value he instilled throughout the department. To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the WCT Subscription Program, we are proud to introduce the Gary Sullivan Legacy Fund. Contributions to this fund will be dedicated to enhancing services and improving the overall audience experience.
