The Panhellenic Council

Sorority life at Wagner is overseen by the Panhellenic Council, a governing body made up of members for each sorority on campus.


Becoming a new member of a fraternity/sorority at Wagner College is governed by the rules established and administered through the College. The following regulations govern eligibility for both men and women:

    • Student must be currently enrolled and have completed a minimum of 4 units at Wagner College.
    • Student must have a 2.5 cumulative grade point average or higher.
    • Student must be a full‑time Wagner College student.
    • Student must be in good judicial standing at the institution.

Please note First semester students are not eligible to become new members of a fraternity or sorority.

Q: What happens during sorority recruitment?

A: Sorority Recruitment is all held on campus with Student Engagement & Activities staff! The recruitment events are held in Towers and give the potential new members a fun experience meeting all of the different organizations!

Q: By going through recruitment, do I have to commit to joining an organization?

A: You choose the pace of your recruitment - you can withdraw from recruitment at any time. At the end of each night, you will be asked which chapters you would like to return to!

Q: What happens if I am offered a bid?

A: If you are offered a bid to one of the organizations that you preferenced, you will receive an invitation to Bid Day. Bid Day is an exciting event held on campus where Student Engagement & Activities staff formally give you your bid and you are welcomed by your chapter into your new home!

Q: What times are the recruitment events?

A: Because Wagner has a ton of 6-9 pm classes, recruitment events are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, February 6, 7, and 8, 2024 from 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm. If you are interested in going through recruitment, we encourage you to clear your schedule of prior commitments now!
