(Staten Island, NY) Wagner College Theatre opens it Stage One Season with “Scab” a play by Sheila Callaghan, running October 8 through 13, 2013.

Both a coming-of-age love story and a spiritual awakening, “Scab” focuses on two grad school roommates from very different backgrounds.

Directed by Wagner Professor David Ledoux, Wagner College Theatre’s Stage One production features Theatre performance majors Lisa Peterson (Anima), Dana Gough (Christa), Melissa Silano (Mary-Androgyne/Kelle/Mom), T.J. Lamando (Alan/Artie/Davie/Angel Two), and Nicole Amato (Jenna/Angel One).

“Scab” was first presented at the Women's Expressive Theatre in New York City in 2002. Subsequent productions include Eternal Spiral Productions in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Impage Theatre in Berkley, California; and The Blue House Theatre in Los Angeles.

The production design team includes Elise Sacco (sets), Dominga Noe (costumes), Elise Pizzonia (lights), and Patrick Richards (sound). Jeana Shea is production stage manager.
