Norman Black '60 M'73 has written his first novel,

'Ice, Fire, and Blood: A Story of the Korean

War', and he published it in March through CreateSpace. It is available through Amazon in print and e-reader versions. The novel deals with U.S. combat infantrymen's experiences in Korea in 1950–51, a desperate period when Chinese forces and the harsh winter inflicted devastating losses. The book's characters are composites of veterans Norman knew when he served in the Navy in the mid-1950s. Norman had a career first in journalism, and later in corporate public and governmental relations. He lives in Georgia.
