Former English professor Donald M. Hensley, 89, died on July 5, 2019, in Gastonia, North Carolina, where he had been born in 1929. He taught at Wagner for 41 years, from 1968 to 2009. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, a master’s degree from Wake Forest University, and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Yan Hang Zhang-Hensley ’02.
