Homecoming 2010
A Year Abroad and a Perfect Season

Michelle Cliff '69 and Rosalind Noonan '80 offer new novels, plus a Christmas story in an anthology.

In poetic prose, Michelle Cliff spins the story of an unnamed narrator, a bisexual Caribbean woman of color, who travels from Jamaica to New York to London, in Into the Interior (University of Minnesota Press, 2010). Reviews and an interview with Cliff are available on the University of Minnesota Press website.

In a Heartbeat (Kensington, 2010), Rosalind Noonan's second novel under her own name, explores one family's journey in the wake of a horrific crime and its unexpected aftermath. Snow Angels (Zebra, 2009) is an anthology of Christmas-themed novellas; Noonan's contribution, Miracle on Main Street, draws on her experience as the wife of a former New York City cop. Visit Noonan's website to learn more.
